Eating veggie in Leeds - cafe edition

I wanted to do a post like this because I love visiting new cities and trying out different veggie cafes and amazing places to eat. Being vegetarian is so much easier now since there are a lot of great cafes and restaurants to choose from. I thought I would share a few of my favourite cafes and places to go in Leeds.

SEBBY'S, HEADINGLEY

Sebby's has been a place I have known about for about a year, and whenever me and my friends aren't sure where to go, we always end up here. Its great for breakfast and lunches, but they also have evening events and deals which make it a great all rounder.

Another thing I love about Sebby's is there vegan buffet nights, which were on a Thursday before lockdown. You pay £10 and get a , main meal, sides, dessert and a hot drink which is amazing and definitely more food than you need.

They have even started doing the vegan buffet to take away while they aren't open which is great because they are definitely the place I have been missing the most while nothing is open!

On one occassion I had vegan mac and cheese followed by a chocolate ice-cream sandwich which was just amazing:

TASTY, OAKWOOD

Tasty is a little cafe in Oakwood which is always busy! They have a great menu with lots of veggie and vegan options and also do the yummiest chips ever! Its a great spot for a sandwich as well as there are loads of options.

GRON, OAKWOOD

This cafe is the most instagramable of them all, the meals are beautifully presented. The coffees are delicious and although a little small, the cafe is a really lovely place to catch up with a friend, possibly after a walk in Roundhay Park which just a few minutes away!

WEST PARK CAFE, HEADINGLEY

West Park Cafe is a cafe I used to go to when I was at school with my mum, and I occasionally still meet her there on her lunch break when we fancy a treat. It's a lovely cosy cafe with a huge menu, from coffees to smoothies and milkshakes, and homemade cakes to breakfasts and bigger meals.

LAYNES ESPRESSO, LEEDS

Layne's is near the train station in the centre of Leeds, its a pretty small place and at busy times there is sometimes a queue to get in. But there coffee is delicious and the food they do is amazing. The cafe is very open plan and you can see the chefs cooking the food.

They also have baked goods like croissants and coffee to go if you are in a rush. Its definitely worth planning a trip on a quieter period to really make the most of it!

STAGE COFFEE, LEEDS

Stage coffee is a small cafe just off Millennium Square in the centre of town. During uni I used to walk down from the campus and meet a friend for coffee and study dates here, its a lovely cafe with lots of space downstairs to get some work done. It was always very quiet during the days so a great place to go for breakfast or lunch when you have lots of work to do.

And theres usually a lovely dog wandering about which I always love!

BAKERY 164, LOCATION

Not so much a cafe, more of a sandwich shop but they have the greatest selection of sandwiches, for both veggies and non-veggies. This is just off the university campus so its very popular and sometimes has a bit queue, but its definitely worth the wait!

Let me know if you have any other cafe recommendations I should check out in Leeds! I think now is a really important time to support smaller local businesses so they can keep up and running!

  8. All this food is making me hungry - it all looks absolutely delicious! Wow - that £10 deal for the first cafe sounds absolutely amazing; I would definitely be in there all time if it was my local. Those waffles also look so dreamy - ah! I can't wait to get back into town and start exploring and supporting more local independents!

  13. There are likewise a few cafes where the menu changes regular, for example, those cafes that are arranged in workplaces or in schools, or those that guarantee to offer home prepared dinners. motels in Clinton mo
