MY FAVOURITE PLACES IN LISBON

To end my Summer I went on a girls trip to Portugal. I have always wanted to go to Lisbon and I found it to be such an amazing city, full of culture and there is so much going on - but also very laid back and a great place to chill.

There is so much to do in Lisbon, and there is also a great public transport system for getting out of the city to the beautiful beaches and landscapes around the city.

ALFAMA, LISBON

Alfama is the older part of Lisbon (a lot of the city was destroyed in an earthquake and later rebuilt). We spent a day here just wandering and exploring the cobbled streets and cute shops, it's so easy to just get lost on the winding paths and admire the scenery. There was actually a market on the day we went which was really interesting too!

QUINTA DA REGALEIRA, SINTRA

There are quite a few castles in Sintra, we stopped off in the gardens of this palace, inspired by Dantes Inferno, the gardens were almost like a maze through the woods, with lots of tiny castle towers and caves to explore. We actually spent a couple of hours wandering around here because there was so much to see.

CASTELO DOS MOUROS, SINTRA

The castle at the highest point was probably the highlight of my whole trip! Definitely worth the walk up towards it. The castle is a combination of red, yellow and blue and is so impressive. You can go up inside the castle and walk all around the higher points with some amazing views. Its just a completely amazing building that's definitely worth visiting!
