FAVOURITES: FEBRUARY 2018

Can you believe that February is already over! This year so far has gone so fast and I don't expect it to slow down at all. I've started my final term of university and there has been so much going on, from all the work to trying to fit in seeing all my friends and doing all the things we have been saying we would do before we graduate. My highlight would probably be the charity bingo night I went to.  Here are some of my favourites from February, hope you enjoy!

1.      BODY SHOP FROSTED PLUM SHOWER GEL

This was a Christmas gift and I think because it is a Christmas themed product it might not be available any more. But I’ve never tried a shower gel from the body shop, I tend to stick to their skincare so it’s really opened my eyes to the other products they do. And I will definitely be going back to test out their other shower gels.

It smells really nice, not too sweet which I was kind of expecting from a 'frosted plum' scent. And it really makes you feel clean, sometimes I find with sweet scented shower gels they don't actually cleanse your skin, but this one really does.

2.      RUB RUB RUB LUSH SHOWER SCRUB

Another body product I love. Lush is a cruelty free, all natural brand and that’s why I love it so much.
It is bright blue which might be a bit off putting for some, but the smell is AMAZING, it is described as orange and mimosa. It makes my skin feel so soft and clean. It’s great when I want to really pamper myself.

3.      NO7 BEAUTIFUL SKIN HOT CLOTH CLEANSER

I have been using this pretty much every day since I got it, if not twice a day. It’s the only cleanser I reach for at the moment. It’s so gentle but really makes my face feel clean. It’s got a really lovely clean smell which makes it even better that isn't too overpowering.

4.      L'OREAL MOISTURISER

I have a day cream and a night cream (both from Nivea right now), but I really like this moisturiser for before I put on make up or sometimes after the gym, those times when I don't need an SPF and I don't want a heavy night cream, this is the perfect in-between.
It’s super refreshing and cooling on the skin and smells just amazing. It’s definitely hydrating and I would recommend this for all skin types, especially those with dry skin.

It’s great for before make up as it sinks into the skin really quickly and has a slight tacky feel so it works great as a primer. I also like to mix a bit of this in with a BB cream or foundation to sheer out the finish and really blend the product into my skin, and it works really well for this. I love this so much I have already repurchased it!

5.      TANYA BURR EYESHADOW

I’ve had this eyeshadow palette pretty much since she came out with this collection, and it’s something I definitely go through phases with. I have so many eyeshadow palettes with loads of different shades in them, which I absolutely love, but sometimes it’s nice to go simple – and when I’m in a rush to get ready before uni I like to go for an all matte brown eye with a little bit of shimmer in my inner corner.

The shade ‘toast’ is my all-time favourite brown eyeshadow, it’s just the perfect warm tone that I find really compliments my skin.

6.      HOOLA BRONZER

I don’t feel like there is loads to say about this bronzer, its well loved by most and I am no exception. It’s the perfect warm bronzer but is cool enough to use for contour, I use this for daytime looks and also for nights out when I need something I know I can rely on.

7.      VICTOR AND ROLF FLOWERBOMB

This is my fragrance and it has been for nearly 2 years now, so I figured it had to fit somewhere into my first ever favourites.
I can’t even begin to describe how it smells (I’m rubbish at that sort of thing) but just go into Debenhams or Selfridges and have a smell. When I wear this I ALWAYS get compliments on how I smell.

8.      ALDI CANDLE

I think these have been talked about a lot, and I know when I first found them I told everyone I knew. But if you don’t know, Aldi have release a range of candles, diffusers and room sprays that are dupes for Jo Malone scents.
Lime, basil and mandarin is my favourite Jo Malone scent so when I found the candle I was amazed. It doesn’t smell exactly the same but it is still really good and you can definitely tell when it’s lit.

The only problem is that the candle does burn very quickly, but I tend to have the candle lit quite a lot, and for less than £5 you can’t really complain!
I also think they make great sized make up brush storage once the candle is all used up.

9.      TOPSHOP COAT

I have wanted one of these coats for ages, and when I saw these dark navy colour with the white fur I just had to have it!
It was £75 from Topshop but with student discount and some Christmas vouchers I had it turn out to be quite a good deal.
I love it because I think it makes whatever else I am wearing look really put together and like I’ve actually planned it.

10.  PINK GIN

I know gin is a big thing right now, and please don't hate me, but I don't like gin and tonic. All my friends love a G&T but its the tonic water I don't like.
The gin however I do quite like, and this pink fruit flavoured gin tastes and smells so good! I like mixing it with lemonade but I'm sure it would taste good in a G&T if you are into that.
