The Hallotober tag

Thank you to Lauren from Laureny Loves for tagging me in this Hallowtober tag! This is my first seasonal tag and I am very excited to take part! Although I love Autumn and the seasonal changes, I am not a huge fan of horror and scary things, so I'm no expert when it comes to horror films but I do love getting cosy and ready for winter!

Rules

  • Thank the person who tagged you and link to their post
  • Put the rules at the beginning or after introduction
  • Answer the 13 questions
  • Tag 13 people to do the tag
  • Delete Question 13, add a new number one question of your own
  • You are free to use the tag image somewhere in the post

1. Halloween or Christmas?

I'm defo more of a Christmas gal but I feel like its important to celebrate Halloween and Bonfire night before the countdown to Christmas begins!

2. Whats your favourite thing about October?

I love the change in seasons and how pretty the leaves are as they change, I love the Summer but I think Autumn/Winter style if much more fun and varied, I love to get cosy in warm jumpers and winter boots and I always look forward to this at the end of September as the weather changes.

3. Are you a big celebrator of Halloween?

I used to do a lot of trick or treating when I was younger and always enjoyed the excitement of dressing up, but as I have got older I have celebrated Halloween less - I hate horror films and anything scary so tend to avoid those aspects of Halloween.

4. What's your favourite horror movie?

I have only watched one horror film in my whole life and that was paranormal activity a LONG time ago. And apparently thats not even a good one according to more seasoned horror film viewers. So sorry I haven't got a good answer or recommendation for this one!

5. Would you rather a cosy night in watching horrors or a big night out in costume?

I'm not a big party girl but for the sake of avoid the horror films I would much rather dress up and go out. I do love seeing other peoples costumes and love it when people really go for it with the dressing up!

6. Which has been your favourite costume to date?

Probably going as dead school girls a few years ago, this was my first time going out in town properly dressed up and I much prefer going in a group costume so it makes more sense.

7. Bobbing for apples or pin the hat on the witch?

Bobbing for apples, I'm not really sure what pin the hat on the witch is (assuming its very similar to pin the tail on the donkey but I haven't really done many Halloween games before).

8. How do you celebrate Halloween?

As someone who doesn't watch the scary films, I think getting a pumpkin and carving it is a real part of Halloween for me! I love doing it with my sisters and I am excited to do it in my new house and be able to decorate for Halloween however we want to.

When I was younger I used to have a lot of halloween parties and celebrate with spooky themed food and eating loads of sweets we got from trick or treating.

9. What's your least favourite horror?

Paranormal activity. Refer to Q4 for more info.

10. Do you have a favourite trick or treating memory?

My home growing up was in a perfect place for trick or treating and I used to love going! I have loads of happy memories from going round to the houses of friends in the neighbourhood and showing of my costume!

11. What's your favourite thing about Halloween?

I think Halloween really signifies a change in seasons which is my favourite thing, I love to get cosy with candles, I also really like carving pumpkins with my little sisters and think its so cute watching them dress up to go out like I used to.

12. Scary costumer or silly costume?

Silly costume! I love when people really go for it but I hate creepy masks where you can't actually see who it is.

13. Whats your favourite Halloween candy?

I think Halloween candy is a very American thing! I love anything chocolate, Halloween themed or not and I really like doing some Halloween baking too!
