REVIEW: JUNE GLOSSYBOX - AROUND THE WORLD

Following last months 'be wild' box, I love that Glossybox are trying to create themes that help us escape from the lockdown we are currently working our way out of in the UK, even just for the excitement of opening the box and seeing whats inside!

The idea behind this box is that all the products come from different places around the world, to celebrate the diverse cultures and amazing products that have been produced.

HUDA BEAUTY LIFE LINER (RRP £18)

I was really excited to try this because I have been doing liquid eyeliner quite often - I like to put eyeshadow and brow make up on as it makes me feel like I have got ready in the morning (even if I don't actually leave the house). And I had forgotten how much a love a liquid eyeliner flick.

What I love about this liner is that it has both a liquid end and a pencil liner. I like to use a liquid liner to get that sharp flick and a nice smooth line above my lash line, but someone I find the liquid liner can't get fully into the lash line and a softer pencil is great for filling in any gaps.

The packaging of this liner is sleek and easy to hold, I generally go for liquid liner pens so its a bit fiddly getting used to the applicator, but the product is super black which I love. I did mess up one eye and its quite hard to remove the extra product without completely getting rid of all the make up on my eye, which is a bit annoying as I generally make at least one mistake when it comes to liner! But I do think that this makes it extra long-lasting and very unlikely to budge all day which is great!

VINTAGE COSMETIC COMPANY MAKE UP REMOVING CLOTHS (RRP £7.99)

I was actually super happy to receive these cloths in this months box. I have a lot of reusable face cloths such as the muslin cloths from Liz Earle, but these feel so soft and I love that you don't need to use any cleanser or product with these to remove your make up.

I also love the print but these would have been very well matched to last months box too! I have not heard of the vintage cosmetics company before, but their website is full of the cutest accessories!

MODEL CO LIQUID METAL EYESHADOW (RRP £15)

I have to say I'm not a massive user of liquid eyeshadow. I may wear it when I am going on a fancy night out but that is really the only time. I sometimes like a cream eyeshadow for a day-to-day look but I always feel like a liquid eyeshadow such as this Model Co. eyeshadow should be saved for a fancy event or night out.

LASPLASH COSMETICS BRUSH SET (£15)

It's rare to get a couple of brushes in a Glossybox but I do love getting new brushes and these ones look great, super soft and the perfect size. I really like the look of the fluffy blending brush, I think you can never have too many blending brushes! The angled brush is perfect for liner or to use in your eyebrows so I will definitely get lots of use out of this set!

NATURA UNDER-EYE MASK (£5.95)

I love eye masks like these but its something I would rarely buy for myself! They are so refreshing and lovely and soothing, I think I want to save this until I have am going somewhere special to really make the most of it!

  1. Ooh that's a great theme for a box! I'd love to see more diversity in these sort of boxes, perhaps with different brands and ethnicity of brand owners. Around the world is really interesting though and you seem to have got some fab products here!

  4. This looks like a great box! I used to get a lot of beauty subscription boxes but stopped a few years ago as I have a million samples, but I've now used them all up and really want to get back to it!

    1. Ah I have the same issue sometimes, I've been really focusing on using up all the samples I get, every time I think of stopping the subscription something keeps me hooked until the next box!

  5. Thanks for sharing this - I've never had any of the Glossybox or any other beauty box subscriptions but I always want to! The eyeliner looks great, I don't tend to wear any on my lid instead opting for my waterline but that one looks lovely to use as it the pencil side looks so soft! It's always great to have some extra brushes too x

  6. The products sound amazing in this one! I love the sound of the Huda liner, and I had no idea that one had a pencil side too. I might need to try that out for myself. Those cloths are great too, especially for travelling. Not like we're doing that right now...x
