WARM BANOFFEE CRUMBLE

One of the chefs where I work made a banoffee crumble when we had a lot of overripe bananas that we couldn't sell. I had never heard of banoffee crumble before and I'm not the hugest fan of bananas but this crumble was honestly the best thing I have ever eaten that included bananas.

This is such a cosy dessert to share in the evenings, I made a mini portion enough for two. And it is perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 bananas
- caramel
- flour
- sugar
- butter
- vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Recipe

1. Make the caramel.

2. Cut up the bananas, mix the bananas into the caramel and put them into an oven-proof dish.

3. Make the crumble by rubbing the flour, sugar and butter together until it forms breadcrumbs. Put this on top of the caramel and sprinkle a little more sugar over the top.

4. Cook for 5-20 minutes until the crumble is crunchy.

5. Take out of the oven and cool for 5 minutes. Serve with ice cream and enjoy!

  1. This looks and sounds amazing! Personally I love using bananas in baking, for their natural sweetness. I made a rhubarb crumble this morning, and it was really tasty. Thanks for sharing, your cosy bake! :-) xx
